Hi, I am Robin Hubbard, owner and sole proprietor of Serendipity Images in Toccoa, Georgia.
I love life and I especially love "Serendipity" moments! Even better is when those moments are captured when I am photographing. I love to photograph and began as a child at eight years of age. I can still remember my first favorite photograph taken at the Indian Mounds in Chillicothe, Ohio.
I have been happily married to the love of my life, Rev. Kenny Hubbard for eight years and I have four grown children, Christina, Joshua, Matthew, and Rebecca. Becca is the youngest and living at home while attending college, having just graduated in the spring of 2016. I am Granna to six grandchildren, Katie, Genavieve, Isabella, Skylor (in heaven), Stella, and Daniel.
My regular daily jobs are: Church Secretary for 7 years at Trinity Lutheran Church & Grace Lutheran Church and Parish Administrator/Financial Secretary for 5 1/2 years at St. Matthias Episcopal Church. Five and a half years ago, the two pastors came together in agreement on a schedule that would accommodate me being the main administrator for both churches, two different denominations. God has truly blessed me. My husband and I are Co-Directors of Celebrate Recovery at The Pointe Church and meet every Tuesday evening at 6:30 p.m. where we serve pizza for dinner and the service begins at 7 p.m. Come out and join us! We also attend service there as a family on Sunday morning at one of two services, 9:30 a.m. or 11:20 a.m. COME and SEE!
At the age of twenty five I began working for a portrait studio in Gainesville, GA where I learned to do so much more. I learned to photograph portraits, work with inks, dyes and pencils for retouching negatives and portraits, which is now done with Photoshop digitally. I also went with my employer, the owner of the studio, to weddings, assisting him while he photographed. After the photographs were printed, I put together huge Wedding Albums that contained mainly 8x10 and 5x7 portraits. In putting together the album, each portrait was placed in order so that it told a story of the couples special day. I LOVED IT!!! This experience has given me a valuable base from which I can access past knowledge to assist in taking the very best wedding photographs for you. I love weddings! I love photographing, I love decorating for weddings, I love watching weddings! I just love weddings!!!
But get this, I also love photographing bulldozers, tractors, towers, trains, flowers, insects, sunrise, shadows, clouds, animals, and this list could go on and on and on, because I love to photograph EVERYthing! So it doesn't matter what you need to have photographed, I will love photographing it for you. Serendipity!
Sixteen years ago my house burnt down and in it, all of my camera equipment. I had just gone through a terrible divorce and had no rental insurance on the house, so ALL was lost. In the last three years I have finally begun purchasing and replacing camera, lenses, tripods, reflectors, flash, accessories, etc. Praise the Lord!!!
Since having a professional camera again, I have been doing all sorts of different photography jobs for friends, ministries, churches, political campaigns, weddings, etc. for FREE. I gave a lot of my time as gifts and tithes. A few months ago, several different people said to me, you need to charge for your services. I prayed about this and yes, the Lord directed me to move forward with a photography business. So, slowly and by word of mouth only, I began booking different events, two weddings, pet photography, children, Senior pics, Graduation, etc. NOW, I am getting ready to launch this website, Facebook, and to move full steam ahead to see where God takes it. I am so excited! This is my Serendipity. I hope you enjoyed it.
